Question: What was your first impression when you met your partner?
Lola and Henry:
Lola: He was rude! I entered a place, and I greeted everyone there. He looked up, he looked at me, he confirmed the fact that he saw me, and he heard me greet everyone, and he just continued what he was doing.
Henry: I don't want any woman to distract me from making money. I was coding, and I was almost done. You know, I wasn't rude or something; I wasn't really in a good mood. After we met a month later, I took her number from her sister. My first impression wasn't really anything special like that. The conversation we had made me realize this is kind of different from other girls I related to because the dimension she took me to with that conversation was very impressive. But that day I was just angry because they hadn’t paid my salary.
Lola: First you were rude and cool. I'm used to hanging out around guys. And the conversation we had that day was very cool, and he has ideas about almost everything. He is really smart.
Henry: Yeah, I'm smart.
Alex and Chioma:
Chioma: Actually, we both attended the same secondary school, but he was my senior
Alex: Yes, we both attended the same secondary school. But then, I finished before she did, and I came back to teach in that same school and I used to teach her after school on topics she didn’t understand in maths.
Chioma: I've always known that he’s smart and brilliant. He is not so goofy and not so stiff. Most times, when you find people who have those smart qualities, most of them are dry.

Oreoluwa and Uriel:
Oreoluwa: Well, I was like, "hmmm, he's not bad looking but not my type" because man was giving "I'm going to become a pastor" kind of vibe 😂 (He actually was a student pastor).
Don't get me wrong, I love that he loves God but omo, I couldn't imagine being married to a pastor 😂
Quick disclaimer oooo... I wasn't stalking him so I didn't know that it was his favorite color. In fact, the only reason I went to him was because I thought he was the class rep.
Uriel: She was my girlfriend for 4 years, and has been my wife for 3 years.
I was a popular figure in school like she said but I no dey change my mind when I won marry somebody🙂↔️. I knew from the first day that she would be my wife 🥰
Abdul and Hanot:
Hanot: It was just a normal feeling when you meet someone for the first time. I was just coming from Ibadan and just there for my registration anyway.
Abdul: She has my kind of voice, my kind of eyeball, she looks like me. Those two things got us talking. And then, at the time, I wasn't that religious. She was actually the reason why I'm more religious now.
Emmanuel and Elizabeth:
Emmanuel: It was mixed feelings.
Elizabeth: I’ve met him several times. This brother ignored me several times, so there was no feeling. But when I later met him again, when we started having feelings for each other, I was like, "Okay, the brother is fine."
Emmanuel: Let me give it more context. For her dad to know that I was serious, I needed to visit them at Sokoto, and I was still interning. But I just had to make time and money. It was a day before her dad’s birthday, and I helped with the planning.
Elizabeth: What was your first impression?
Emmanuel: For me, it was her beauty. The relationship was long distance, so when I saw her, I was like, "Wow, I’m so lucky. She’s so beautiful. I’m the luckiest man on earth."
Bambiii and Stefan:
Bambiii: How do I even start? It was breathtaking. I felt nervous and at the same time excited. The cutest thing was - he waited outside as soon as my cab arrived at the estate. As soon as I saw him, I just felt this sense of assurance that “damn! I made an amazing choice choosing this man to be mine.”
Stefan: I won't lie, I was stunned and starstruck. I could barely speak, I admired an angel as she came down from her Uber, we hugged so tight.
Tokunbo and Oyin:
Oyin: Impression? I don't even remember. When I saw him, I just jumped on him.
Tokunbo: I almost fell down. I was so tired.
Roland and Alice:
Roland: This is nostalgic. I remember her pulling up to the door with her luggage (women never pack light), and I opened the door to beauty.
I immediately felt warmth because I got exactly what I ordered.
Alice: So he told me before we met that he's 5’4" or so, but I was very surprised to see a very tall guy, and I felt short beside him. Besides that, I was very excited.
I forgot to mention that he gives the best hugs.
