My name is Ibukunoluwa, a customer support. My partner name is Adewale and he is head of the marketing at a fintech company.
How did you guys meet?
We met online in a group hangout community. Initially, I was skeptical and joined just to find friends and travel buddies. I had been single for over a year and wasn't looking for a relationship.
When I introduced myself in the group, I received several DMs. I ignored most of them, but one particular message caught my attention. He sent a message that read: "Hi Ibukun, sincere apologies for sliding into your DM. My name is Ade, also part of the Love village community. Saw your post and really like you to be honest. I also stay on the mainland. I would like to get acquainted in the minimum if fine by you."

At first, I wasn't interested. I replied with a simple "hi, how are you doing," and when he responded with a long paragraph about his day, I ghosted him. He kept texting and trying to gain my attention, but I continued to postpone and ignore him.

What was your first impression when you met physically?

He’s really selfless, very kind, he genuinely cares about me and about the people I care about. He’s my financial advisor when it comes to my business. He’s my personal atm too🌚🤭.
He’s family oriented and he goes all out for me too. He’s a very kind man. He motivates me to be a better version of myself too.

How has the experience been so far?
It's been sweet. We're both happy, and that's what matters. We've had arguments—I can be quite stubborn—but every fight seems to bring us closer together. We've been dating for 10 months now.
One of our recurring arguments is about my business inventory. He constantly tells me to do a stock count, but I tend to procrastinate. Despite our busy schedules, he always makes time for me.
