South African insurtech startup Root has successfully raised an additional $1.5 million in funding to support its expansion efforts in the UK and Europe.
Nairobi-based venture capital firm Enza Capital has announced the successful closure of two funds, raising a total of $58 million.

South African fintech company Revio has raised $5.2 million in seed funding to further develop payment optimization solutions in Africa. This funding round follows a pre-seed raise of $1.1 million less than a year ago.
