Twitter, now known as X, hasn't provided severance packages to its Africa team even a year after laying them off. The Ghana-based team of 20 announced a new office just a week before their abrupt layoffs. While other teams globally received information about their severance in their layoff emails, the Africa team was left without any details or responses from Twitter. The team even engaged lawyers, but communication ceased in May 2023. Now, they are considering legal action for violating Ghanaian labor laws.
