Herbert Wigwe, the co-founder of Access Bank, is investing $500 million to build Wigwe University in his hometown in Nigeria's Rivers State. The university is planned to offer undergraduate courses in management, science and engineering, information technology, and creative arts.
The African payments startup Flutterwave, has obtained a license to handle payments, including remittances, into Malawi.
Bolt is leaving the meal delivery businesses in Nigeria and South Africa at the end of the month for business reasons. A Bolt representative said, "The company has decided to exit these markets to maximize our overall efficiency and streamline our resources."
